CLASS A
1. Mt. Pleasant (1-0)
A dominant performance over Midland makes them the heavy favorite in the SVL.
2. Davison (0-1)
Even though they lost in the season opener, they are still expecting a deep play-off run.
3. Flint Southwestern Academy
The addition of D1 prospect Mark Ingram and a sound defeat of the traditionally tough Midland Dow Chargers makes the Knights look like a real contender.
4. Bay City Central
The Wolves' sloppy performance against Saginaw High has raised questions, but they are still a contender in the SVL.
5. Oxford
Won a close game to open the season against the Holly Broncos.

CLASS B
1. Linden
The Eagles are pretty much a class A team, and a very talented class A team at that.
2. Alma
The TVC-East favorites are led by Indiana-bound quarterback Adam Follet.
3. Ogemaw Heights
A sound defeat of the powerhouse Flint Powers squad made a statement to the entire state of Michigan; the 2007 Falcons are for real.
4. Bullock Creek
The always-tough Lancers started the season by crushing Sanford-Meridian; a long post-season run appears imminent.
5. John Glenn
The Bobcats dominated Cadillac in the season opener.
6. Frankenmuth
Time will tell how big their victory against Swan Valley was.
7. Garber
One of the early favorites in the TVC-East didn't disappoint against Pinconning.
8. Montrose
Their early victory over Cros-Lex was a huge step towards a return to dominance.
9. Birch Run
The Panthers won their first game like expected, and are eyeing a 4th straight TVC-East crown.
10. Lake Fenton
The Blue Devils should battle with the Montrose Rams for the GAC-Red championship.

CLASS C/D
1. Nouvel
The Panthers will be #1 until someone beats them. Last week's close one against Hamady made it clear that this is NOT the steamroller of a team that the 2006 Nouvel squad was.
2. Unionville-Sebawaing
With a host of returning starters, this USA team looks to return to glory after the 5-4 2006 season ended consecutive state finals appearances.
3. Flint Hamady
Any team that plays Nouvel close deserves a high ranking.
4. Saint Charles
Time will tell if their week 1 victory was an impressive show over a talented team or simply a display of dominance over a struggling one.
5. Ithaca
The Yellowjackets are still completely unproven. Blowing out Farwell doesn't really guage their ability, but the week 2 match-up against St. Charles should be extremely telling.
6. Reese
The Rockets had no problem dispatching the struggling Hemlock Huskies, and are consistantly one of the top class C programs in the area. Look for them to catapault the rankings in the next couple weeks.
7. Whittemore-Prescott
Week 3 against Montrose and week 5 against New Lothrop should reveal a lot about the Cardinals.
8. New Lothrop
The defending division 8 state champs lost handily in week 1, but their successful program will no doubt keep them in the hunt for a GAC-Blue title.
9. Cass City
Cass City is always a contender for the GTW crown.
10. Michigan Lutheran Seminary
Unfortunately for the Cardinals, a difficult schedule indicates that they'll have to beat either St. Charles, Ithaca, or Bullock Creek to make the play-offs after losing to Vassar in week 1. They should settle neatly into third place in the Tri-Valley West.
